The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process of liturgical and spiritual formation for adults seeking membership in the Catholic Church through the sacraments of initiation. You may feel called to join our classes beginning September 9th if you are:
- Not Baptized, seeking or considering full initiation through Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist
- Baptized in another Christian tradition and considering being received into the Catholic Church through Confirmation and Eucharist
- Baptized in the Catholic tradition seeking to complete initiation through the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation
Classes meet every Monday from 7:00pm – 8:30pm from September 9th through Easter 2025. You may live anywhere in Lincoln or the surrounding areas and participate in St. John’s OCIA class. OCIA classes also welcome practicing Catholics who wish to further their understanding of our faith and those willing to share their faith by serving as a sponsor to individuals seeking initiation.
